Worklights are small but powerful illuminants used by the Bright Falls lumber company.

Cynthia Weaver placed numerous worklights throughout Bright Falls in order to aid Alan in his fight against the darkness. They must be switched on manually and their direction cannot be changed. However if Alan finds them, they can be an effective tool in keeping the Taken away. They only have a limited run time, however, and so must be repeatedly switched on in order to maintain a continuous deterrent. They are most effective when trying to defend a small area or objective. If a flashlight is used to stun and/or slow down a Taken while in the worklight, they can be very quickly drained of their darkness shield, easily converting kills.
