The Six-Gun Scribe is an achievement in Alan Wake.

Description

Pre-Achievement:

• "Defeat 100 Taken with the revolver".

Post-Achievement:

• "You capped 100 Taken with the revolver".

Background

This achievement is awarded for killing one hundred Taken with the revolver. Due to the plentiful nature of revolver ammo, this achievement can easily be completed in a single playthrough. However, it is best completed in the early stages, before the Taken get powerful enough to resist the small gun.

Trivia

• Unlike the other achievements for killing taken with other weapons, Alan must kill 100 with the revolver, instead of the 50 required for the rifle and shotgun. This is probably due to the fact that Alan starts most levels with a revolver and ammo for it is placed quite lavishly.
