The Birdman is a Taken type in Alan Wake's American Nightmare, it somewhat replaces the Tele-flanker from Alan Wake.
It has no darkness shield, yet has the ability to transform into a flock of ravens to escape danger or close distance.
Birdmen are a lot stronger then normal taken and take less recoil than most enemies.
Birdmen are featured in both Alan Wake's American Nightmare and the 13 minute prototype demonstration of Alan Wake 2.
In the 13 minute short, the birdman takes the form of a man wearing a coat. The Alan Wake 2 Birdman also has the ability to attack objects in bird form, such as pushing a garbage dumpster.
