Samantha as a Possible Lead Character[]
Samantha could be a possible lead character fighting The Dark Presence with Alan Wake in the next game, which is a good idea of a Co-op option! (Even though I would rather play alone through my first play-through).
Samantha did say that she "won't be frightened away by ghosts or shadows" and that she "will fight for it if that's what it takes"(Samantha stating that she will protect her new home no matter what) . I hope that she will be in it to help Alan fight The Dark Presence.
These are the small version of my thoughts, I want to hear from other people!
Well, this reminds me a lot of what 2K did for Bioshock 2 with "There's Something in the Sea", so it could be similar in terms of tying in to the next game. I doubt they'll do co-op, but Samantha could possibly be a character in the same way that Mark Meltzer was; either an ally or an NPC that we hear from/about. We don't really know enough from the blog yet. Key of Destiny (talk) 02:04, October 28, 2012 (UTC)
Could it be possibly setting it up for another trilogy after Alan Wake 1-3? I mean, I'm sure there setting up Clay and Nightingale for the future, possibly Samantha too, however it does seem a strange way to introduce her... Radi Nightingale (talk) 09:07, October 28, 2012 (UTC)
Well, I'm not sure what they could be setting Clay up for, but as seen at the end of the first game, Nightingale is likely the new face of the Dark Presence, replacing Barbara Jagger. I doubt they'd be introducing characters for a trilogy after Alan Wake 1-3 this early on; I find it more likely that if Samantha has any role in the story, it'll be in the next game. After all, she bought a house in a town called Ordinary...it will happen again, in a town called Ordinary...Key of Destiny (talk) 15:05, October 28, 2012 (UTC)
The Late House DLC[]
This mentions the blogspot URL and discussed an artist [Redacted] that is presumably Samantha.
