Saga's Charm Bracelet is an item in Alan Wake 2, acting as a separate part of her inventory for charms.

Background[]

Before Saga left for Bright Falls, Logan made matching charm bracelets for her and her mom. During Return 9: Come Home, Saga uses the charm bracelet as evidence on the Case Board that Logan is alive.

Charms[]

Charms can be attached to Saga's Charm Bracelet in the Inventory. Each charm gives different benefits. Saga starts the game with one charm (two with Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Upgrade). More charms can be found by completing specific requirements or reaching milestones as the story unfolds. Below is the list of charms, organized by the earliest they can be unlocked.

Return 2: The Heart[]

Logan’s Charm[]

Logan’s Charm
  • Perk: Increases maximum health.
  • Unlock Condition: Saga starts with this charm.

Hammer Charm[]

Hammer Charm
  • Perk: Attacks stagger enemies more often.
  • Location: Cauldron Lake, Witchfinder's Station (Finish the Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found near the bridge at Cauldron Lake.
    • A rhyme about counting crows. Each number of crows has a different meaning.

Kalevala Knights Charm[]

Kalevala Knights Charm
  • Perk: Increases Hand Flare’s duration and area of effect.
  • Location: Cauldron Lake, Streamside (Finish the Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found at the river near Cauldron Lake.
    • In the rhyme the mother crow tried to protect its nest, but ultimately failed.

Coffee Mug Charm (#1)[]

Coffee Mug Charm
  • Perk: Saves you from death, but shatters in the process.
  • Location: Cauldron Lake, Witchfinder's Station (Complete the Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found outside the Cauldron Lake ranger cabin.
  • The hero of the rhyme left her child unprotected.

Coffee Mug Charm (#2)[]

Coffee Mug Charm
  • Perk: Saves you from death, but shatters in the process.
  • Location: Watery, Watery Woods
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found at the shooting range near Watery.
    • This rhyme was about a moose, evading hunters.

Deer Charm[]

Deer Charm
  • Perk: Increases resilience against being staggered or interrupted.
  • Location: Watery, Watery Woods
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found by the radio tower near Watery.
    • The rhyme was about a deer being eaten by wolves.

Coffee World Token Charm[]

Coffee World Token Charm
  • Perk: Increases quality and quantity of resources found.
  • Location: Watery, Trailer Park (Finish Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found at the dock by the Watery Lighthouse Trailer Park.
    • A rhyme about a fisherman who lost their catch to a hungry bear.

Lighthouse Charm[]

Lighthouse Charm
  • Perk: Increases max amount of health restored in Safe Havens
  • Location: Watery, Lighthouse (Finish Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found outside the Watery lighthouse.
    • A rhyme about an old man who became a monster.

Mr. Drippy Charm[]

Mr
  • Perk: Increases damage dealt when low on health.
  • Location: Watery, Coffee World (Finish Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found at the Latte Lagoon ride in Coffee World.
    • A rhyme about a deer and a moose lured by some kind of devil.

FBC Charm[]

FBC Charm
  • Perk: Increases damage to enemies that haven't detected you yet.
  • Location: Watery, Ranger Cabin (Finish Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found near the ranger's cabin at Watery.
    • A rhyme about a woman who fell in love with a bear. Things probably didn't go the way she hoped...

Coffee Mug Charm (#3)[]

Coffee Mug Charm
  • Perk: Saves you from death, but shatters in the process.
  • Location: Watery, Downtown (Requires Screwdriver)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found in a mobile home in downtown Watery.
    • A rhyme about a girl who fell for the wrong guy. Why's it always the girl who gets cheated on...?

Return 5: Old Gods Charms[]

Lantern Charm[]

Lantern Charm
  • Perk: Adds one Charge to Saga’s Flashlight.
  • Location: Bright Falls, Bunker Woods
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found at a campsite in the woods near Bright Falls.
    • "By trying to protect against one danger, she exposed her child to another danger.
  • Deluxe Upgrade Difference: Saga will start with the Lantern Charm. Instead, players receive a Coffee Mug Charm.

Coffee Mug Charm (#4)[]

Coffee Mug Charm
  • Perk: Saves you from death, but shatters in the process.
  • Location: Bright Falls, Ranger Station (Finish Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found inside a ranger cabin near Bright Falls.
    • Is the moral of the story here to feed anyone who rings your doorbell? This was very odd.

Valhalla Nursing Home Charm[]

Valhalla Nursing Home Charm
  • Perk: Increases effectiveness of Painkillers and Trauma Pads.
  • Location: Bright Falls, Bunker Woods (Finish Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found near the shoreline in the woods near Bright Falls.
    • I'm not loving the depiction of the mom as "a horrible beast with a pointy nose." Kids can be cruel, I guess.

Anchor Charm[]

Anchor Charm
  • Perk: Chance to stun enemy on Flashlight Boost.
  • Location: Bright Falls, Boatyard (Finish Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found at the Bright Falls pier.
    • A cautionary rhyme about a child who fell out of a boat and drowned.

Mayor Setter Charm[]

Mayor Setter Charm
  • Perk: Marks all nearby resources and points of interest on Saga’s Map.
  • Location: Watery, Downtown (Finish Overlap)
  • Unlock Condition: Pet Mayor Setter at Suomi Hall.

Deerfest Charm[]

Deerfest Charm
  • Perk: Significantly increases time before Darkness Shields regenerate.
  • Location: Watery, Trailer Park (Requires Boltcutters)
  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found in a trailer at the Watery Lighthouse Trailer Park.
    • A rhyme about an old man who raised a fawn as his child.

Coffee Mug Charm (#5)[]

Coffee Mug Charm
  • Perk: Saves you from death, but shatters in the process.
  • Location: Cauldron Lake, Cauldron Lake Rental Cabins (Requires Boltcutters)
  • Requirements: Rhyme found at the rental cabin at Cauldron Lake.
    • In the rhyme the hero was aided by two crows. They shared the reward together.

Charm Slot Upgrade[]

Saga can unlock a fourth charm slot after solving the initial 16 Nursery Rhymes. After the 16th, Saga can find the "Father" doll in the Cauldron Lake Rental Cabins and find a new rhyme at Witchfinder's Station.

  • Unlock Condition: Rhyme found inside the Cauldron Lake ranger cabin.
    • A rhyme about a reckless hero, being watched over by "the far away Farther."

Trivia[]

  • By "nearby", the Mayor Setter charm does not mean the entire local map, it means the area in the vicinity of Saga; collectible items will only be revealed once Saga has walked within a certain distance of them with the charm equipped. Once something is revealed on the map this way, the icon will remain even if Saga de-equips the Mayor Setter charm.
