Robert Hambleton (or "The Colonel") is a character mentioned only in the Alan Wake Official Survival Guide.
Background[]
A British outdoorsman, writer and artist who set out to camp near the lighthouse at Rain Cove Point and was later found in the woods clad in only his underwear, frantic after an apparent encounter with floating lights and a Taken.
Hambleton fled Bright Falls before police could question him further, but only a month later was found deceased inside his truck within the Elderwood National Park, in an inexplicably advanced state of decay. The hiker who located the body stated that she "saw something drop from the sky" and noted that the truck was dripping wet.
Curiously, it is noted that Hambleton was famed for his "eerie take on murder-mysteries" and apparently felt drawn to Bright Falls in a fashion similar to another local artist.
