...But the bunker has a tendency to flood, especially during the winter. In the 90’s, a group of teens went down there one Saturday night and got a little drunker than usual. The teens noticed one girl, Norah Hesberg, was missing. They figured she just went home. When Norah’s folks didn’t find her in her bed the next morning, they called the police.
The authorities, they searched the bunker…and found poor Norah floating in one of the flooded passages. She had a real talent for music. Folks say they still hear her singing in the nursing home. Nowadays, teens think the bunker is haunted.
- ― Pat Maine
Newspaper article of Norah's death.
Norah Hesberg was a 15 year old girl who went missing within the Bunker associated with the Valhalla Nursing Home Overlap on November 2, 1991 and was later found drowned.
Given how Pat Maine notes years later that Norah had 'a real talent for music', it's possible she may have been another artist who fell victim to the Dark Presence.
Trivia[]
- If you try to spell Logan's name using the Cyrillic alphabet, you get Логан. Given that both girls drowned and Remedy's love for hidden meanings, it's unlikely this is simple coincidence.
- As the reality changing powers of The Dark Prescense can only influence, or nudge, events that already exist. They cannot create new events out of nothing, they can only alter details. Given this logic it is likely that Norah was a real girl that had drowned in Watery, and this event was used to write Saga's daughter into the story by replacing "Norah" with "Logan".
- Norah's drowning sparked numerous rumors and stories from how she died to her ghost haunting the bunker and nursing home. This is what most likely caused the overlap to form at the Valhalla nursing home, as overlaps form at locations that gather speculation, and spark imagination from stories, folklore, or rumors.
