Manuscripts are a recurring element in the Alan Wake series, featured in Alan Wake, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, and Alan Wake 2 as a type of collectible. During gameplay, players can find pages from Alan Wake's stories that foreshadow upcoming events within the game's plot. As players collect manuscript pages, they are stored in their inventory (or in the Mind Place in Alan Wake 2.)
