Follow the Light is an achievement/trophy earned in Alan Wake. The achievement is a story achievement and as such it cannot be missed.

Pre-Achievement:
- "Take a night course of light education".
Post-Achievement:
- "You were enlightened by a dream".
Walkthrough[]
The achievement will be obtained in the first episode, titled Nightmare. The achievement is obtained after you have passed the tutorial, which covers:
- Moving
- Looking around
- Sprinting
- Performing a cinematic dodge
- Healing yourself
- Using the flashlight/burn away the darkness
- Shooting your gun and when to shoot
Once the gate opens after Thomas Zane speaks to you, you will receive the achievement.
