Diver's Isle

Diver's Isle

Diver's Isle was the small island Alan Wake and Alice Wake stay on during their vacation. The small island happened to be right next to Cauldron Lake. Alan and Alice stay in the cabin named Bird Leg Cabin after the shape of the island (when looked at from above) which is shaped like a bird's foot and leg.

History

  • In 1970, a volcanic eruption destroyed the island, and there hasn't been an island there since, the Dark Presence manages to manifest it in order to bring Alan to the place where it still has power.
  • The cabin used to belong to Thomas Zane and Barbara Jagger, thus called Diver's Isle due to Tom's keen interest in diving.
  • Thomas Zane's books were also available in the cabin due to a loophole he wrote, allowing everything he put in a shoebox to remain after he was gone.

Trivia

  • In the bedroom of the cabin there is a calander that says July with 4th highlighted, it is also dated 1970. This is another forshadowing item that is in plain view but is often over looked.
  • In front of the shed with the generator there is a stump that has the letters T.Z and B.J with a heart around them carved into the wood, this shows the romance that was on the island before Barbra Jagger drowned.(Note that you can examine this stump for some dialog)
