Collateral Carnage is an achievement in Alan Wake.
Achievement Description
Before Earning:
- "Kill 20 Taken by indirect means".
After Earning:
- "20 Taken have been drowned, electrecuted or dispatched by other indirect means".
Background
This achievement is unlocked by killing 20 Taken by indirect means. Indirect kills can be achieved by killing Taken with exploding barrels/canisters or forcing them into water. They can also be awarded by driving taken into live wires that can be found hanging off of power lines sometimes. The player can earn many indirect kills in both of the add-ons for Alan Wake, as they both contain type-writer words that can be used to destroy several taken at a time.
